A Message from the heart

I am writing this article basing it on the fact that it might reach some people that do not know the struggles and turmoil disabled people are facing with the new benefit changes that are currently taking place under the Welfare Reform Bill, I am giving you some scenarios only regarding the WCA or Work Capability Assessments as shown further down the page so you can grasp the effects they are having on people with disabilities, their families and carers, I have just learned that there has to be a Vigil against ATOS outside their Cardiff offices that started today Monday at 8am and ending on Friday at 5pm and that a disabled activist Christos Palmer, one of the organisers is going to go on hunger strike from now until Friday.
Too ill to work
OMG, I can understand how anyone would want to hold a vigil outside Atos as this is the company who are carrying out assessments and putting people through as fit to work when so many of them are clearly unfit to work and have been declared fit to work and have been put into the working group which is supposed to help them find work but it's not finding them paid work it's finding and slotting people unfit to work into voluntary roles and forcing them to work for 30hrs a week un paid, If they miss a day or don't turn up because they are ill they have their benefits taken of them for 12 weeks, so could you imagine that happening to you or someone who you know is too ill or unfit to work, the stress it causes not to mention where they can even find extra money for their lunch each day remember they are on the bare minimum of benefit for god sake.
Unfair tests
Imagine what they and their families are going through at this time, there have been people deemed fit to work that have died shortly after being assessed like the story of Brian Mc Ardle, his 13 year old son wrote this story this week saying he believed Atos had bullied and harassed his father so much it caused him to have a stroke days before his assessment but that his dad was still determined to go to the appointment, then a month after the appointment he got a letter telling him his disability benefit would stop on 26th September see the rest of the article here http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/atos-killed-my-dad-says-boy-1411100 it's so sad but trust me there are hundreds of stories just like this one yet the Government will not stop it from happening, I have contacted John McDonnell MP and asked him to put and EDM together to suspend any more assessments from taking place until ATOS and the way they carry out the Work Capability Assessments have been investigated. We would be just as bad as the government
Now if you have read these articles and watched these clips you can clearly see how bad things are for people with disabilities out there having to go through this UN FAIR system but please! Please! Please! we have lost so many peers through suicide or deaths since this started that we canNOT allow anyone else to DIE so for all I am an activist and want this to STOP am begging every other activist, Individual. group, or organisation to try and contact Christos Palmer and ask him to stop, YES he can continue with his ViGil but NOT this hunger strike as if we support this we are just as bad as the Government and Atos this is a human life willing to sacrifice himself NO! NO! NO! I am far too far away in Scotland and in my bed with fatigue to save him myself but I am on my knees begging my peers, allies or everyone who knows me or have heard of me to HELP! me STOP one more person from taking their lives because of this Government and their inhumane treatment of people with disabilities please unite and share on Facebook and Twitter so we can get people in Cardiff to talk him down from doing this we all share his frustration and passion for stance but not like this.
