BUsy, Busy, Busy
Hello everyone, Sorry i've been posted missing lately, busy doing the usual, communicating with the local jobcentre, visiting the hospital, visiting my parents, dementia classes and then saying hello to the wife as we pass in the hallway.
I have been in looking at different people's bloggs and what a fantastic one i found from a young lady called
Jayne Burnett who recently had a short film i'll call it, made about her, i won't spoil it by giving away too much, but please please look in on it, it doesnt take long, sit back and admire a really strong and to be admired young lady, i thought it was so good, i commented on it twice for her.
So the job-centre still want to keep an eye on me, know problems their, but why has it come to this stage that they want to give me all the support and financial help needed to get back into the work-place, when for months past, i couldn't get a penny from them and they said i was good and ready for work, when clearly one of their head practioners say's i'm not and too take my time, get well, then we'll see about how we can get you back to work, it makes a change from, we're not putting any pressure on you, but did you know that this that and the other were available to you when you get a job, know i didnt, but since you've enlightened me of it, i'll keep it in mind, and then see if its still available when i get one, you'll probably say at that point, that offer doesn't apply any more, as they say '' heard it ''.
Ended up in the hospital last week, have know idea what happened to my foot, but couldn't walk on it Thursday or Friday, doctor at the hospital says it could be diabetes related as my blood sugar level nearly went through the roof when they checked it, its okay now, but the pain was incredible and i was on the end of a short fuse.
Mum and Dad continue on their own little merry way, if you can call it that, their having real problems figuring out which day it is every morning, i speak to her every day at least 3 or 4 times by phone and thats on a good day, other days it can be 7 or 8, i'm just trying to keep them in the house as much as possible just now, due to the really bad weather, we couldn't have anything happening to them if they were out, they're enjoying the day centre much more now and thats really pleasing, as at there age they have been set in their own ways for to many years now to go changing it all about. My sister-in-laws parents have been having a rough time of it lately, with her Dad being in hospital and here Mum now feeling the strain of it all and its affected her own health in the last week or so, so come on T.H & M.H. we're all rooting for you both.
Had my monthly meeting at the Dementia class at the hospital the other night, to help me understand it alot more, i thought we had it tough as a family, nothing to compare with some of the stories i heard at it, from people wanting to go shopping at 3am in the morning, to going to bed at 5pm, because it had got dark outside, no concept of time or where they are, but the amazing thing about this illness is that knowone has the same symptoms as the next, because it effects everyone differently, when i left the meeting, i walk across to the other side of the hospital to get the bus into town, i don't mind admitting, i had a massive lump in my throat, my parents are at this point very well manored and not aggressive, what some of the others put up with from the sufferers is unbelievable, i take my hat off to you people.
On the point of an offer from two musketeers i know, i'm giving it serious consideration, this week i have managed to lose only 1 lb, thats probably about 2 stitches to you women out there with a tape measure,
but i'll continue to fight the extra pounds and head on my merry way to the eleventh month of not smoking,
getting used to the diet lemonade and those fat free crisps, but will need to cut down on, the grapes, the keep-fit instructor said, a handfull's plenty, but you don't need to place the hand's together, very witty i thought.
Thanks for all the comments.

hi william
i wrote a big comment and i have lost it.
That could mean the comment or my patience aye.
anyway it took me ages to think all that out.
it was mainly to do with the problem of your benefits.
When you are on the new benefit that replaces incapacity benefit you are expected to go for interviews that are work related.
everything has changed so much from the old benefit and it is geared to help you at your own pace to find a suitable job whether it is part time or even voluntary. you will probably have all the blurb william in your letter that comes for your interview with paths to work. it seems a good idea but what bothers me is the fact that if you do not comply with interviews and such like then they throw the 'fear factor' at you with threats of losing your benefit. To me people are on this benefit because they are not able to work but the system treats everybody alike and with suspicion that they are trying to 'buck' the system and this is there way of routing out the bad eggs. they claim to be sympathetic but in the end they will probably have targets to meet and may end up forcing some into unsuitable jobs. i just hope i am wrong and would like them to prove me wrong by doing something right for once aye.
anyway it is good to hear that you parents are doing okay and i hope the other folk will be okay soon too.
keep your chin up william
