The Rifles
A strong contender for the best album of the year and it's only the end of January, The Great Escape by this brilliant band has not been off my car stereo since I got it. We missed it for review in the mag because it arrived well after deadline but it is honestly an essential buy. Spiky guitars and killer melodies make it perfect for crossover potential – think The Jam meets The Enemy.
