Inter -faith

By Jayne on Nov 28, 08 12:00 PM in

Chapel Choir were on good form this Sunday.

We weren't doing our normal thing, stuff from CH4 and the like. Instead we played an American spiritual called 'Nobody Knows'. It is most famous for being arranged by Michael Tippett. It is a great piece, and also technically challenging. We also sang a piece by Haydn where the only the girls sang and we were accompanied by the harp :-) It was the kirking of the student association and it was an inter-faith service. We had people from loads of different religions there, some of which I hadn't heard of before. It was completely different from anything that the Chapel Choir normally does, but the whole thing was very interesting.

We also had loads of fun with the snow. We started running about in the un-touched snow, and then had a snowball fight outside Elphinstone Hall when we were on our way to the reception :-)
